Scheduling? When can I start?

The student may select their own day/time for lessons. However, lesson times are limited and scheduling is based on availability. The time you want cannot be guaranteed, but we can usually work something out.

Do you offer trial lessons?

Of course! A trial lesson is perfect if you are a bit unsure. Trial lessons are restricted to (2 Lessons) per student ($30 per lesson). Contact me today and we’ll set it up!

What skill levels are taught?

All skill levels are welcome! Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced musicians are all welcome!

What if I need to miss a lesson?

If the student is absent, a 24 hour notice must be given in order to ensure a make-up lesson is scheduled. Any same day cancellations will be forfeited. See “Lesson Policies” below for more information.

How old does my child need to be to start guitar?

It really depends on the child. Usually 10 years of age is a great time to start guitar! If you believe your child has shown interest and is ready, we can set up a trial lesson!

Well…I’m an adult…do you teach adults?

Sure do! All adults are welcome! Perhaps you finally have a little time to learn that guitar that’s been sitting around? Maybe you’ve played for years and just want to get better. Adults make excellent students and you’re never too old to learn. Don’t be shy, contact me today one we’ll discuss what you’d like to learn or set up a trial lesson.

To receive a make-up lesson for a cancellation, you must give the instructor at least 24 hours notice of original lesson time. Any cancellations without 24hrs notice will not be made up and the student will be charged.

There is a one make-up lesson limit per month and is arranged at the instructor’s convenience. Any other cancellations are forfeited. There are no refunds for lessons.

If the student cancels a lesson on a month with 5 lesson days, there will be no make-up.

In the event of mass cancellations such as weather days, internet/power outages, etc; there will be a designated make-up lesson scheduled at both the student and instructor’s convenience.

Lessons will not be given on the following holidays: New Year’s Eve/Day, MLK Day, Spring Break (3/11-3/15), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday), Christmas Eve/Day. Since 5th lesson days are free, there are no refunds or make-ups for these holidays.

To discontinue lessons, the instructor should be notified at least one week prior to student’s termination. It is understood that the student is still enrolled until he/she notifies the instructor.

It is very important that the student understands the cancellation policies. Lesson slots are assigned to students on a “first come, first serve” basis. Your lesson time slot is reserved for you and ONLY you. Please understand that when you miss a lesson, the instructor precludes the possibility of earning income (from another student) during your lesson time because it was specifically reserved for you. As a courtesy, the instructor allows one make-up lesson per month. Thank you for your cooperation and thank you for choosing me as your teacher!

Thanks!
